Consultation with patient will be strictly as per telemedicine guidelines given by TSI, Which includes providing teleconsultation for prescribing medicines (those mentioned in the list given by telemedicine guidelines by TSI), providing counselling e.g. food restrictions, do’s and don’t’s for a patient with various diseases, advicing treatment, educating healthy habits/ lifestyle , imparting health education e.g. advice on contagious and non-contageous diseases, immunizations, exercises, hygiene practices, etc. teleconsultation will be, in fact, appropriate and in the interest of the patient only.


Only doctor will decide whether a patient needs physical or remote consultation i.e. through teleconsultation, and the medium of teleconsultation( video, audio, text), on case to case basis.


There are certain limitations to teleconsultation. All patients cannot be diagnosed or managed through telemedicine. Most ones need in person consultation and only doctor can decide the same.


Doctor will not deny emergency teleconsultation, but surly limit it for immediate assistance or first aid. Doctor will not provide Emergency teleconsultation remotely except when it is the only way to provide timely care and it will be limited to first aid, life-saving measures, counselling and advice on referral to the appropriate expertise at the earliest.
